Audio Mastering

For new artists finishing up their first recordings, mastering is a form of final quality control (possible only in quality environments) in order to prepare and optimize the final mix as transparently as possible for transfer to a digital or analog master copy.

In the days of vinyl records, mastering was a pretty mechanical process of cutting discs, but also the early beginning of making these discs sound better than recordings.

With the advent of the digital age, mastering has evolved more into a creative- engineering process that is now an art form in and of itself, aiming for the best first impression given music can get.

Through mastering, you can get a punchier, loudness-optimized, finalized, shining mix that translates well across all playback systems.

There are also important steps in the mastering process, such as preparing input (in an error-free file format, usually DDP), required by the pressing plant that you’ll need us to complete before your album is ready for duplication.

We can also master your audio for analog outputs such as vinyl LP and cassettes, if you prefer to “kick it old-school”.

How to Try

The procedure is as follows:

• upload your mix HERE or use any service of your choice to deliver your file
• leave contact details (email/phone no) and short message (our file transferring service allows to do that) that you want to try our Audio Mastering service
• get ready to get excited with a full preview or just a snippet of a mastered mix

How to Order

For new clients the procedure is as follows:

• contact us first, using our online CHAT or immediately fill in the Quote Request Form below and:
  • provide information on:
    • source format/medium
    • destination format/medium/streaming service
    • number of tracks/total time of all tracks to be mastered
  • ask about current discounts (you can be surprised!)
• let us get familiar with your tracks youʼre willing to master by uploading them HERE – do not undervalue this step, it will vastly help to get the most out of this service (more on this on our FAQ page, section B).
• upon scope agreement you receive up-front fee invoice and pay to get started
• upon work completion you receive tracks for review
• upon work acceptance you receive remaining-fee invoice and pay to get the professionally mastered tracks and enjoy them!

Existing clients are entitled for individual approach/benefits and already know the process, usually tailored to their specific needs.
